President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday attended the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People in the Second World War, held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The ceremony, presided over by President Xi alongside China’s top leadership, was attended by several world leaders currently in Beijing for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025.
Following the commemoration, President Xi hosted a reception at the Great Hall of the People in honor of the visiting dignitaries.
President Muizzu is presently on an official visit to China at the invitation of President Xi to participate in the SCO Summit.
