Financial statements submitted by Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem reveal that he received more than MVR 900,000 from well-wishers over the past year.
According to the statement, Abdul Raheem earned MVR 658,894.95 as salary, along with MVR 958,982.48 in cash, resources, and goods from benefactors.
His declared assets include a three-bedroom Rehendhi housing flat valued at MVR 4.5 million, a house constructed in L. Fonadhoo worth MVR 5 million, a motorcycle worth MVR 67,000, and a boat valued at MVR 3.5 million. As of July 2, 2025, his BML savings account held MVR 101,698.21.
Under amendments made by the 20th Parliament, members are required to submit financial statements by August 31 each year.
