The Foreign Ministry has assured that assistance will be provided to Maldivians in Nepal if the situation there deteriorates further.

In a statement, the Ministry advised Maldivians to avoid non-essential travel to Nepal until conditions return to normal and urged those in the country to follow the guidance of Nepalese authorities, the Maldives’ High Commission in India, and the Ministry.

The public has also been asked to stay clear of conflict zones and prioritize safety, with special attention advised for those in Kathmandu, where curfews have been imposed in several areas.

The Ministry said it is closely monitoring the situation in consultation with relevant authorities and urged anyone needing help to contact the Maldives’ High Commission in India or the Ministry’s hotline.
