PNC Parliamentary Group Leader Ibrahim Falaah has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is committed to completing stalled development projects across the country in line with the people’s wishes.

Falaah’s remarks came in response to a social media post by MDP President Abdulla Shahid, who accused the government of halting projects initiated under the previous administration. Shahid highlighted the hospital project in Faafu Feeali, claiming it had been progressing rapidly but was abandoned under the current government, resulting in millions of rufiyaa being wasted and public hopes for improved healthcare being undermined.

Addressing the claims, Falaah said many of the projects launched by the MDP government were hurriedly announced ahead of elections without proper budget allocations. He noted that advance payments were issued to close associates without any real intention of implementing the projects, and as a result, public funds were misused without visible progress.

He further stated that unlike previous administrations, President Muizzu’s government would not deceive the public and would ensure the completion of projects that directly address the needs and demands of the people.
