September 21st; (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; reports 46 positive cases within 24 hours. This includes 31 Maldivians and 15 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 44 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 02 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 9,770. This includes 1,340 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 129 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 8,390 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 27 resorts and in 22 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 16 Tourists and 39 staff.
Maldives has recorded 34 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
