MTCC has today commenced the official physical works of the S. Meedhoo Island coastal protection structure project at a special function held at S. Meedhoo.
The ceremony was attended by the Parliament Member for Meedhoo constituency, Ms. Rozeina Adam, the State Minister for the Ministry of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Mr. Shifaz Ali, and CEO of MTCC Adam Azim. Parliament Members for Hithadhoo constituency, Hulhudhoo constituency, and Addu City Mayor, Abdulla Sodiq also attended the ceremony.
The MVR 5.80 million project was awarded to MTCC by the Ministry of Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure. Although the physical works of the project were officially commenced today, MTCC had initiated the physical works of the project on March 25.
Scope of work under the project includes; backfilling and bed preparation operations of 1,848cbm and the construction of a 210m geo bag revetment.
