September 22nd; (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; reports 48 positive cases within 24 hours. This includes 28 Maldivians and 20 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 47 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 01 person infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 9,818. This includes 1,340 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 48 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 8,438 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 25 resorts and in 23 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 16 Tourists and 34 staff.
Maldives has recorded 34 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
