Finance Ministry of the Maldives records show 79.2 million spent on income support allowance.
Income support allowance is released for those whose income was affected by covid-19 pandemic. The state decided on the income support allowance as many raised concerned over losing jobs and changes on salary due to the pandemic.
So far the state has released 79.2 million MVR as income support allowance for 7742 people. The records show that 18,724 people have applied for the income support allowance as of 17th of September.
Application for the income support allowance for the month of August is open till end of September.
