June 13, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 224 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 113 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 111 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 07 people are positive from operational resorts, and 104 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 70,301 cases, including 09,326 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,734 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 1,937 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 60,769.

According to HPA, there are 88 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 197 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 313,865 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 177,969 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
