July 29, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 108 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 17 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 91 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 28 people are positive from operational resorts, and 60 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 77,202 cases, including 2,541 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,272 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 94 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 74,429.
According to HPA, there are 14 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 220 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
In addition to this, a total of 321,594 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 263,067 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
