December 06: the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 157 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 38 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 119 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 02 people are positive from operational resorts, and 117 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 92,368 cases, including 1,796 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,693 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 99 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 90,304.

According to HPA, there are 16 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 254 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 395,956 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 364,692 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
