Regarding the fraud and corruption in connection with ventilators procurement, former Prosecutor General (PG) Muhuthaz Muhusin has said that corruption involved with the ventilators procurement, cannot be blamed for only one institute.
Tweeting his statement regarding the corruption involvement with ventilators procurement cannot be blamed for just one institute when these incidents occur involving more than one institution.
Upon the investigation of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC), the ACC has requested the Prosecutor General (PG) Office to press charges for 11 people on the corruption and fraud in connection with the 75 ventilators procured through a Dubai company, against the financial law and procedures.
However, with Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem's decision to decline to press charges, with a lack of evidence, ACC has stated that the highlighted remarks by the PG office when dismissing pressing charges are in review.
