Member of Parliament for Feydhoo constituency, Mohamed Nihad has stated that even opposition leader Yameen was awed seeing the development projects for Addu City.
Commenting on former president Abdulla Yameen's visit to Addu City, Nihad said that members of the opposition leaders were all awed when they saw the progress of the development projects in Addu.
Nihad stated that members of the opposition leaders were saying things like, 'They are doing a lot'. Nihad said that including the construction of roads, offices, schools, and mosques, the list of ongoing projects in Addu goes on.
"Even ex-president Yameen was shocked and at a loss for words, thinking about what other promise to make," said Nihad.
In Yameen's current visit to Addu City, he plans to visit every inhabited islands, and meet the citizens of Addu. In addition, he will meet PPM steering committees and councils in the islands.
Abdulla Yameen's Addu City trip is his fourth trip to an atoll after he secured PPM's presidential ticket.
