Former Vice President of the Parliament (Reeko) Moosa Manik has rejoined the current governing party, MDP.

Moosa Manik, the former MDP chairman, was expelled from the party in November 2016 for violating the party's three-line whip in the vote to reduce the number of Supreme Court judges. Moosa then joined the opposition PPM in 2018 under President Yameen's government. Musa has further tried to elect President Yameen for power.

Reeko Moosa re-signed with the MDP at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace today. Moosa signed up to the party in the presence of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the Economic Minister and MDP Chairman, Fayyaz Ismail. His signed form was accepted by the party chairman, Fayyaz Ismail.

The ceremony was also attended by the MDP PG Leader Mohammed Aslam, Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid, and Defense Minister Maria Ahmed Didi.
