On the occasion of the Republic Day celebrated today the President of the Republic of the Maldives, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has sent his felicitations to all the people of the country. He also prayed that the upcoming Republican Year would be a year of peace, tranquility, and happiness for the people.
The official ceremony to celebrate this year's Republic Day will be held at Darbarge tonight. The ceremony will include awarding the Presidential Medal, and a special medal awarded by the President to the Hafiz who achieved 1st place in memorizing the Holy Quran.
