All but one of the deceased have been identified in the fire that broke out in M. Nirufehige on Wednesday night.

Maldives Police service said nine of the 10 people killed in the fire have been identified. They include four Indian men, three Indian women, a Bangladeshi woman, and a man.

Police said one of the 10 dead was an unidentified man.

Police further said that they are investigating the incident.

The cause of the incident has yet to be identified.
