State revenue from imports and exports have increased last month according to Maldives Customs Service.

According to Customs statistics, last year's October had MVR 3.7 billion worth of imports while this year's October had 4.3 billion. This is a 14% increase.

In last October, the most imports were from India, Oman, Singapore, U.A.E., and China. From India, MVR 681 million worth of goods have been imported, from Oman MVR 513 million, from Singapore MVR 510 million, from U.A.E. MVR 490 million, and from China MVR 462 million worth of goods.

While last year's October had MVR 219 million worth of exports, this year's October had MVR 186 million worth of exports. This is a 15% decrease. The countries that Maldives has exported to the most are Thailand, Germany, Mauritius, the United Kingdom, and France.

While the country had received MVR 294 million in revenue from imports and exports in last year's October, in this year's October this has increased to MVR 364 million.
