Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid has stated that the people want to elect President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for another term.
Speaking to local media last night, Shahid said the nation's progress, and benefits lie in further strengthening international relations. However, the previous government did not dare to meet an outsider, he said.
Shahid said the current government is continuing to strengthen its foreign policy and strengthen relations with the world. And for those reasons, it is clear that the people support President Solih for another term.
"It is a clear fact that the people of the Maldives want to elect this government, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for another term,” Shahid explained.
Shahid has already said that President Solih should be elected for another term. He also expressed his support for President Solih to contest for another term.
