Former Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has said to Adhaalath Party that having a party be part of the government is a great responsibility.
Shaheem said that therefore Adhaalath Party should call for the closing down of brothels in Male' City.
Noting the increase of brothels in the capital, Shaheem said that the religious scholars of Adhaalath should contact the relevant authorities via the Parliament.
Sharing a photo of the leadership of the freshly formed Adhaalath Party meeting then President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Shaheem said that he is reminded of meeting the President after the formation of the party.
Shaheem said that in the meeting, the party called for the closing down of brothels that were here then, and after the meeting they were closed down and the responsible parties were penalized.
While Shaheem has said this, it has now been revealed that there are a number of brothels in the city in the guise of massage parlors. These brothels have been openly advertising on social media.
