The Budget Committee of the Parliament has passed the state budget projected for next year with an additional MVR 160 million.
The Finance Ministry proposed a MVR 42.6 billion budget to the Parliament. The Budget Committee added an extra MVR 160 million and the budget was passed with a total of MVR 42.8 billion.
The addition to the budget includes MVR 36 million for the domestic budget of offices and MVR 124 million for the PSIP programs planned for next year.
For the PSIP programs and development projects planned for next year, MVR 14 billion was allocated.
The budget proposed by the state for 2023 was passed with the popular vote of the members of the Budget Committee.
