Deputy Minister of the Transport Ministry Saudulla Ahmed has stated that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will listen to what Huvadhoo fishermen have to say.

The government has planned to celebrate Fishermen's Day this year in Faresmaathodaa, South Huvadhoo.

Regarding this, Saud said the fact that Huvadhoo was chosen shows President Solih wants to know how Huvadhoo fishermen feel and listen to them.

Furthermore, Saud said that it is guaranteed that the government finds solutions for the issues faced by fishermen.

Since 1989, December 10 has been celebrated officially by the government as Fishermen's Day. The last time it was marked officially by the government in 2021, the official ceremony was held in K. Gaafaru.
