Feydhoo MP Mohamed Nihad has stated that the person who is most likely to bring an MDP government once again is President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Nihad stated that President Solih's decision to partake in the presidential primaries of MDP to represent MDP in the presidential elections was an important decision made for the nation and the people.
Nihad said that his full support will be given for this decision. According to him, in the current state of affairs, the one who is most likely to bring about an MDP government is President Solih.
While Nihad has stated this, even former President and current Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed has officially announced his bid for the presidential elections. Nasheed has stated that his campaign will officially start tomorrow in Thinadhoo.
Since the confirmations of the candidates in the MDP presidential primaries, both factions of the divided party have started campaigning for their respective candidates.
