A young British man has accepted Islam in Maldives.
The 25 year old man who accepted Islam was named Robert Caleb Stratton. The Islamic Ministry gave him a certificate after his conversion. According to the certificate, he converted on December 5.
After conversion, the youth has changed his name to Umar.
Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali had met the man and congratulated him for his acceptance of Islam.
Even previously, foreigners from various countries have accepted Islam in Maldives.
