Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan has stated that modern education and training are needed for sustainable fisheries.
The Minister said this in a tweet made on the occasion of Fishermen's Day.
Dr. Hassan tweeted that sustainable fishing cannot be done today unless we get modern education and training in fisheries instead of becoming a "drumstick tree captain". And that if this path is not progressed in, Maldives' seas cannot be protected.
