Former MDP Chairperson (Reeko) Moosa Manik has stated that there is no need to tremble or get goosebumps after hearing that MDP is going to start having meetings at the MDP headquarters.

Moosa had previously said that there is no place that is a more serviceable shelter for the party than the MDP headquarters. He had said that the party would lose its unity and weaken if the victory from the party headquarters is forgotten. He said that even elders say, "Don't throw away the begging bowl."

Moosa said today that there is no need to tremble and get goosebumps because the meetings are going to start. And that they will start anyway.

"No need to tremble because MDP might start political activities with its real courage," said Moosa.

Moosa has announced that MDP is preparing to resume its HQ meetings at a time when MDP has divided into two factions, a pro-Solih faction, and a pro-Nasheed faction. Moosa's remarks are believed to be aimed at the pro-Nasheed faction.

The MDP presidential primary is planned to be held on Saturday, January 28 next year. President Solih and party president Nasheed have already started preparing for their campaigns to contest the MDP primary.
