Hulhumale' Councillor Ibrahim Shujau has stated that former President Mohamed Nasheed cannot run away from the mistakes made by the current government.
Shujau stated this regarding Nasheed, at a meeting with his supporters at the party headquarters for his presidential primary campaign, saying that current issues were caused by the government not following his advice.
Responding to Nasheed, Shujau said the entire state was looted and everything was done wrong during the four years of this government, with the two presidents (Nasheed and Ibrahim Solih) working together.
"Yameen got two haram sentences, sea got sold, reserve got distributed, money printed, COVID aid stolen, many people got robbed of their flats, and the people impoverished by Nasheed and Solih working together," said PNC Vice President Shujau.
Shujau said that now Nasheed is trying to run away from this by pretending that all this was done by President Solih.
Furthermore Shujau said that the image of the state was destroyed by the two presidents working together and that the Parliament did not investigate anything.
