Elections Commission's president Fuad Thaufeeq has stated that an unregistered name will not be included in any political party.

Last night, former President Mohamed Nasheed accused the government and the Elections Commission of colluding to remove MDP members from the EC register.

Responding to Nasheed's allegations, Fuad said that Nasheed's statements were untrue. And that the EC will implement what the law requires it to do.

Fuad said the Elections Commission would not include an unregistered name in any party and that it will not matter to EC even if it is a former President or First Lady.

Furthermore, Fuad said that the Elections Commission had canceled forms without fingerprints after a law was passed to expel members without fingerprints from parties. And that the parties were asked then to refill the forms.
