October 29th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 25 positive cases from 1,470 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 16 Maldivians and 09 Foreigners.
A total of positive cases records 16 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 09 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 11,616. This includes 839 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA also reported the recovery of 48 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 10,733 people recovered.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 23 resorts and in 21 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 30 Tourists and 89 staff have been tested positive for covid-19 in the resorts.
So far, Maldives has recorded 37 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
