President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that work will start soon for the development of an airport in B. Thulhaadhoo.
The President said this while speaking about developing Baa Atoll in his campaign visit to B. Eydhafushi.
President Solih said that the development of an airport in Thulhaadhoo will be handed over to a contractor within the next two to three weeks. And that the aim is to start using the facility by next year.
"By the middle of the year, dredging work will start there. The goal is to make it usable by the end of the year," said the President.
Highlighting the primary campaign, the President said the upcoming election is an important presidential election and it is a national task to win it.
The President said a lot of work has been done in the last four years. He said that it is important for MDP to maintain its rule to carry out further development work, and for that the MDP primary is important.
President Solih said we know what had happened during Yameen's reign, and today we should think about whether we want to go for that injustice again or not. He said that MDP members play a big role in this and that is one reason they should think about winning the presidential election.
