The Judicial Service Commission has decided to hand over the administration of the Criminal Court to its judge Adam Mohamed.
The JSC decided to make this change at its meeting held on the 5th of this month.
The Criminal Court has been handed over to Judge Adam Mohamed following the appointment of former Chief Judge of the Criminal Court, Ahmed Shakeel to the High Court.
Judge Adam Mohamed was appointed to the Criminal Court in January, 2021.
Adam Mohamed had been entrusted with the administration of the Criminal Court on a previous occasion too. It was when Chief Judge Ali Rasheed Hussain, who was in charge of the Criminal Court then, was appointed to the Supreme Court of Maldives.
