Elections Commission President Fuad Thaufeeq has stated that there is no obstacle to carrying out the presidential election freely.

Fuad said this while speaking at the first meeting of the National Advisory Committee for this year's presidential election.

The National Advisory Committee for the Presidential Election is composed of representatives of ten independent institutions, eight political parties, three associations, and representatives for independent candidates.

At the first meeting of the National Advisory Committee, Elections Commission President Fuad said the full cooperation of the members of the National Advisory Committee would be required to conduct the elections safely and smoothly.

Fuad said the commission will work to present the people's decision the way the people had decided, and there will be no one to influence the commission in the presidential election.

The EC president said the Elections Commission will work with independence, honesty and integrity.

"There will be no side we will be biased towards. We don't believe anyone can have any influence on us," said Fuad.

During the meeting, the Commission discussed with National Advisory Committee members on how to conduct the committee meeting, and the formulation of the rules.

The Elections Commission is a special commission for presidential elections founded in 2008.
