The Ministry of Tourism has revealed that more than 480,000 tourists have visited Maldives so far this year, an increase of 22.7 percent over the previous year.

According to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Tourism, 483,624 tourists visited Maldives as of the 23rd of this month. This is an increase of 22.7 percent compared to the 113,428 tourists that visited during the same period last year.

According to statistics, an average of 5898 tourists visit Maldives daily. The average length of stay of tourists in Maldives is 8 days.



The top market for tourists arriving in Maldives is Russia, with 59,987 tourists. India is in second place with 52,276 tourists. The UK is the third largest market with 44,839 tourists.

The government aimed to bring in 1.6 million tourists in 2022. This target was achieved on the 20th of December. For this year, the government aims to attract 1.8 million tourists, setting a tourism record.
