Fuvahmulah City new hospital design
One of the promises made by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to Fuvahmulah City was to establish a special hospital for women and children there. President Solih said that since Fuvahmulah is a city, he believes it should have the same services as other cities in the country. He promised to start the work of the hospital as soon as possible.

Preparations are now underway to start the work of the hospital as per his promise to the people of Fuvahmulah. The design work of the hospital has now been completed. The design shows that it is being designed to fit modern standards.

The hospital, being made in Fuvahmulah City which has a population of about 12,000 people, will have five floors. The 50-bed hospital will be built adjacent to the existing Fuvahmulah Hospital.

Last year, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, in an official visit to Fuvahmulah, said the new hospital would be dedicated to women and children.

In addition to the city of Fuvahmulah, the government is working to develop hospitals in various parts of the country with modern standards. The government has announced that seven new hospital projects will be handed over to contractors soon.

The hospitals will be built in HDh. Hanimaadhoo, Sh. Milandhoo, N. Velidhoo, K. Thulusdhoo, ADh. Maamigili, V. Felidhoo and Th. Vilufushi.
