MDP President Mohamed Nasheed has stated that MDP Vice President Mohamed Shifaz' political future, God willing, will be very bright.
In response to the removal of Shifaz from the position of Minister at the President's Office, Nasheed said that there is no one who has sacrificed more to bring about this government than Shifaz.
Nasheed said Shifaz should not worry at all and that his future, God willing, is very bright.
"Shifaz, don't worry at all. The future is bright, by Allah's will," said the former President of the country, encouraging Shifaz.
Shifaz was removed from office today. He was replaced by MDP Deputy Chairperson Ibrahim Waheed (Madhana Iburey).
Shifaz has been at the forefront of MDP for a long time and served as the Member of Parliament for Baarashu constituency in the 17th Parliament. Shifaz is currently a leading figure in Mohamed Nasheed's "Fikurehge Dhirun" faction, one of the two factions within the divided MDP.
