Jumhooree Party leader Qasim Ibrahim has applied his form for the party's presidential primary.

The deadline for applications for the presidential primary expired at 12:00 pm today. The primaries were opened after the party council decided for the party to contest the upcoming presidential election separately, leading its own coalition.

JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim's Special Envoy Ilham Ahmed said the party Leader Qasim Ibrahim was the only one who submitted their forms for the presidential primary by the deadline.

As such, Qasim has now become the official presidential candidate for Jumhooree Party.
