A fire broke out in the industrial island Thilafushi today.
The MNDF has stated a fire broke out in a building in the MPL area of Thilafushi and that the Thilafushi fire station is active in the area. According to the MNDF, they received information about the fire at about 12:45 pm today.
MNDF said that the affected area is now 80 percent under control. And that the fire has not spread to any other area.
The fire had broken out in a 2 storey building. The ground floor of the building is a wood warehouse. The upper part is used as an accommodation block.
There were no reports of injuries in the incident.
