Addu Maradhoo MP Ibrahim Shareef has stated that in the upcoming presidential election, the choice of the citizens of Addu City will be MDP's presidential candidate, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu).
Shareef said today that the people of Addu City are an intelligent and sharp people and they will give priority to the development and progress of their city.
As such, Shareef said the choice of the people of Addu is President Solih. The MP said the people know that President Solih's government has taken loans to develop Addu.
"Therefore President Solih is our choice. The choice of the people of Addu," said Shareef.
The Addu MP said the people of Addu will not give the chance to anyone who will put a stop to the ongoing development projects in Addu. And that the future of Addu will become brighter and job opportunities will be created for the youth of Addu, when the ongoing projects are completed and Addu's economic engine starts running.
Shareef said the economy of Addu City needs more money circulating within the city. He said the completion of the Hankede, Gan and resort island dredging projects launched by President Solih's government will bring about the change the people want.
The Hankede Integrated Tourism Project is a project with 1041 rooms. The government has now awarded the contract to China National Electrical Engineering Company for MVR 2.2 billion.
