Former Member of Parliament, and Chairman of ADK Group of Companies Ahmed Nashid (ADK Nashid) has announced his decision to support President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in the upcoming presidential election.
ADK Nashid, who was the Member of Parliament for Dh. Atoll and also Komandoo Constituency, is the Honorary Consul of Morocco in Maldives. Nashid is also one of the founders of Jumhooree Party and has served as its deputy leader.
ADK Nashid tweeted last night that he will support President Solih in the upcoming presidential election.
In the tweet expressing his support for the President, Nashid said, "President Solih even then, and President Solih even now."
Nashid, who spent many years in the Parliament, joined MDP in September, 2013. He is now known to be staying away from politics, seen more in business and social activities.
