Female soldiers have participated in the basic training course of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Marine Corps for the first time.
Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal inspected the Marine Corps training today.
Shamaal said this was a historical moment as this was the first time female soldiers had participated in the Marine Corps' basic training course. He said there were three female soldiers participating in the course.
Major General Shamaal today observed the final exercise of the MNDF Marine Corps Basic Course.
Shamal was accompanied by senior officers of MNDF.
