Maradhoo MP Ibrahim Shareef has stated that some people are trying to ruin Fenaka Corporation.

An emergency motion was moved in Parliament yesterday alleging that some companies have nearly gone bankrupt due to non-payment of dues by Fenaka, and that the debt of Fenaka has gone up to 2.8 billion.

Responding to criticism directed at Fenaka, Shareef said that the opposition is trying to destroy the company because it provides services adequately to the people. And that since Fenaka is a commercial company, there would be bills to pay.

"If it's a company, it will always work on a business basis. There will be many bills to pay and they will be paid. That's how it works," explained Shareef.

Yesterday, a group of people protested in front of Fenaka saying that even after complaints were made multiple times about suppliers not being paid, the company still has not made the payments.
