MDP Chairman Fayyaz Ismail has stated that it has been revealed that what some people are saying, about how the government and MDP have been ruined due to a dispute within MDP, has no factual basis.
In an interview with the state media, Fayyaz said MDP won the Guraidhoo constituency while some people within the party were trying to prevent MDP from winning the seat.

"Even if some people leave MDP, it has been made clear that the people are with MDP," said the MDP Chairman.
Fayyaz said that the Guraidhoo constituency newly won by MDP is a historic victory. And that this shows that MDP will win the 2023 presidential election in a single round.
