Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology Aminath Shauna has stated that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's government's policies have improved the lives of the people.

The main reason why MDP is celebrating the victory in Guraidhoo constituency is that it is a seat in the Parliament that the party had not won before. Previously, the seat was won entirely by PPM and formerly by the old DRP.
