Maduvvari MP and PNC Vice President Adam Shareef Umar today thanked Mohamed Nasheed's Fikurehge Dhirun faction for the work they did to have the PPM candidate elected in the Guraidhoo constituency by-election.
After losing the presidential primary to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, MDP's President Mohamed Nasheed has formed a separate faction within the party under the name of Fikurehge Dhirun.
In today's Parliament sitting, MP Adam Shareef stated that Nasheed's Fikurehge Dhirun helped immensely to get PPM candidate Hussain Riza elected to the Guraidhoo seat in the Parliament.
"I would like to thank Fikurehge Dhirun for their great support to PPM in this election," said Adam Shareef today.
While Adam Shareef has said this, MDP Chairman Fayyaz has also said that MDP won the Guraidhoo by-election while some people within the party were trying to prevent MDP from getting the seat.
However, Fayyaz Ismail has stated that the work done within the party to sabotage it will be stopped.
