M. Ocean Reed Adam Moosa (Buchaagey Dhon Manik), who served the state for more than 43 years, passed away at the age of 91.

Dhon Manik's death was announced by his daughter, former Youth Minister Iruthisham Adam. Dhon Manik died in Brisbane, Australia, at dawn. He has lived in the country with his family for eight years.

Buchaagey Dhon Manik had 22 children from three marriages. At the time of his death, he was survived by only one wife. He is survived by twenty-four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Dhon Manik started working for the government in 1951. He has served as the Atoll Chief of R. Atoll.

He has also worked in the Ministry of Interior, Public Maintenance Division, Post Office, Marine Division and Control of Communicable Division.

He served on the Film Censor Board for the longest time. He retired from government service on April 13, 1998 after serving in that office for 18 years.
