There is no way to allow the revival of anti-Islamic ideas and culture in the country, said the vice-president of the Adaalat Party Dr. Mohamed Iyaz.

Dr. Iyaz was speaking in support of Sheikh Zaidh's remarks linking former President Mohammed Nasheed's "The Democrats" party to the Election Commission today. Henveiru West MP and former MDP Chaiperson Hassan Lateef submitted the form to the Election Commission at a meeting held at the Election Commission.

"The Democrats" is also the name of the main ruling party in the United States. Religious scholar Ali Zayed has said that the party encourages homosexuality.

Zaidh’s remarks were supported by the vice-president of the Ilm Council of the Adalat Party, Dr. Mohammed Iyaz said he would not allow anti-Islamic ideas and culture to revive in Maldives.

After the defeat in the MDP presidential primary, President Nasheed's close associates are conducting political activities in the name of “Fikuregge dhirun”. 12 MPs have now left the MDP.
