Maldives ACC members meeting with Malaysian ACC delegation
A delegation of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrived in the Maldives.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) members are on a visit to the Maldives, where an official meeting was held between the Malaysian ACC and the Maldives ACC officials yesterday.

During the meeting held at the Maagiri Hotel, the two commissions discussed the work of the two commissions, their efforts to prevent corruption, experiences and challenges.

Speaking at the meeting, ACC Chairman Adam Shamil noted that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission last year, under which the ACC is proud to work with a long-established anti-corruption institution like the MACC. He noted that the two sides are already starting to see positive results in their joint efforts.

Galan, Deputy Director of the Intelligence Unit of the MACC, who led the Malaysian ACC delegation, highlighted the importance of enhancing collaboration, noting that the ACC can provide various technical assistance in its efforts to eradicate corruption.

A two-day intelligence-based investigation training is scheduled to be conducted as part of the visit of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission delegation from 22 to 26 this month at the invitation of the ACC. The training will be conducted by MACC experts and employees of various agencies working in the field of intelligence and investigation will participate in the training.
