I don’t want the title of the man who destroyed the MDP, said Leader of Jumhooree party leader Qasim today.
He made the remarks in an interview with VTV today, referring to today's claim that he was trying to divide and break the MDP due to the coalition talks with President Nasheed. He said that some MDP members would believe that Nasheed's position with president Nasheed would win.
Qasim said he knew who President Nasheed was and he would not want anything but power.
"The tension between Ibrahim Mohammed Solih and President Nasheed is getting worse and I am getting the title of destroying the MDP", Qasim explained.
Qasim said the MDP was formed under his leadership. There was no attempt by President Nasheed to form the party, he said. There are many sources of information on these issues, but the most important is the fact that these issues are not covered by the law.
Qasim said he would not try to dissolve the MDP even if he did political work.
