Housing corporation, Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) – fully owned by the state, has said that civil works of eight towers, roughly consisting1200 flats, contracted under the government’s 4000-units housing project will be completed by the end of the year.

There are a total of four thousand apartments or flats in the housing project which is progressing in Hulhumale’ according to FDC.

Under the project, FDC, has contracted construction of 2000 flats to Indian Company, JMC and 2000 flats to another Indian party called NBCC. FDC says that all the 4000 units will be completed in early 2025.

FDC took local media personnel for a site visit of the towers yesterday. Reporters were shown mockup apartments and progressing works at the sites.

According to FDC the towers will rise to seventeen to eighteen floors and each floor consists eight apartments.
