Jumhooree Party’s (JP’s) presidential candidate MP Qasim Ibrahim urged the intellectual community of the country to choose their presidential choice and make their selection public.
MP Qasim spoke to “Vision Qasim 2023” on Sunday. In the brand-new talk show hosted by JP’s media arm, MP Qasim said that the people should vote for the best candidate in the September presidential race.
He suggested that the intellectual community in the country conduct an audit of the candidates in the presidential race and show their best choice to the electorate.
“The scholars and the intellectuals must show the electorate their choice”, MP Qasim told the show. MP Qasim also said that the electorate should not discriminate against candidates on the basis of skin color, lineage, or the island of their birth.
MP Qasim advised the electorate to make their voting decisions after checking the achievements of the candidates in the race.
“To qualify for the office of the President, achievements in the academic field alone are not enough. The person should be someone who uses wisdom”, said MP Qasim.
