President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurates a soccer pitch, a powerhouse and powerhouse office on the Island of Kendhikulhudhoo in Noonu Atoll.

President Solih inaugurated the development projects on Kendhikulhudhoo Island in the Noonu Atoll on Saturday as part of his tour of the atoll.

The football ground, inaugurated by the President, has been layered with turf, fenced, and equipped with a lighting system. The government contracted AMIN Construction Pvt. Ltd. for its development. The new FENAKA Office can accommodate up to 30 staff members, while the powerhouse boasts a power generation capacity of 1,720 kilowatts.

The President also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new hospital on the island. The facility is designed to accommodate 30 beds and will provide advanced medical care to the local community.

“Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant progress toward achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services” said the President’s Office.
